US-based rising instrumental progressive metallers, Sometime In February, recently released their new studio album ‘Where Mountains Hide’ via InsideOutMusic/Sony Music. Hailing from Charlotte, North Carolina, this instrumental guitar trio present sophisticated yet accessible compositions that reveal a maturity beyond their brief time together as a band.
Ahead of the band playing their first ever UK/European shows, as well as an appearance at Prog Power Festival USA, they have launched a brand new track titled ‘A Safe Haven’.
The band comments: “A counterpart to Hiding Place, and an epilogue to Where Mountains Hide, A Safe Haven is the bookend to Sometime in February’s current cycle. Written and recorded as a proper trio, we feel that it takes its time with still, somber moments, but we absolutely make time to have fun and highlight our funky and heavy tendencies. It’s a fitting and satisfying conclusion to the Mountain Era, and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate our first trip across the pond as a band than to share this with everyone!”
The band play the following dates:
12th August – Cologne, Germany – supporting Between The Buried and Me
16th August – Arctangent Festival, Compton Martin, UK – with Tesseract, Between The Buried and Me, Unprocessed & more
5th September – Prog Power USA, Atlanta, USA – with Rivers of Nihil & more
‘Where Mountains Hide’ is available as a Limited CD Digipak, Limited Edition Coloured Vinyl (both including bonus track) & as Digital Album. Order now here: https://sometimeinfebruary.lnk.to/WhereMountainsHide-Bio
