Say She She brought a wave of “discodelic soul” to The Academy on Sunday, 23 November 2025, transforming the Dublin venue into a glowing swirl of groove, harmony, and glittering 70s energy.
The Brooklyn-based, female-led tri, Piya Malik, Sabrina Mileo Cunningham, and Nya Gazelle Brown delivered a performance that felt both retro and refreshingly modern. With all three members being classically trained vocalists, their signature dreamy harmonies filled the room with incredible richness. From the first shimmering chord, the crowd was instantly moving, dancing, and vibing to their irresistible fusion of disco, funk, and soul.
Say She She’s chemistry on stage was undeniable. Their voices blended seamlessly, creating a lush, hypnotic sound while the band behind them kept the groove tight and infectious. Every track was warm, bold, and full of personality and the audience didn’t miss a beat, matching the trio’s energy from start to finish.
Opening the night was Dublin-born Irish-Greek neo-soul artist Melina Malone, who set the tone beautifully with her velvety vocals and rich emotional delivery. Fresh off the release of her debut album Aphrodite, she captivated the audience with powerful, expressive performances that showcased why she’s quickly becoming one of the most exciting voices in the genre. Her set built a soulful atmosphere that perfectly prepped the room for the discodelic world of Say She She.
It was a night of groove, soul, and feminine power a glowing, joy-filled performance that left Dublin dancing.
