SerpentS are back with their newest single from upcoming EP, Let Loose & Join A Cult, which is due for release early next year. The playful Wetter Than Revenge is relentless and impossible to ignore. Co-writer and vocalist Eli states, “This song is our Billie Jean. We were almost too scared to release it into the world because we believe this song is so powerful. It’s an alt rock feminine rage anthem with a western inspired music video – what’s not to love?”, and keep your eyes peeled for the video, coming next week.
Despite being new to the alt scene, Wetter Than Revenge shows SerpentS going from strength to strength, solidifying their status as one of the most exciting new UK bands. The new track follows previously released singles, Midnight Murderess, and debut Nerve, which arrived in July alongside the fun 80’s-inspired video, which can be seen here.
Hailing from Manchester, the four best friends have sold out headline shows, filled out festival tents and toured with the likes of Mouth Culture, Crawlers, Au/Ra and more. Next up, SerpentS will play their debut headline show in Manchester at Soup, on 14th November. Tickets are on sale now here.
Their first studio session as SerpentS just so happened to be with members of two of their favourite bands – Manchester rockers, Pale Waves and American alt/rock trio, Pvris. Considering they grew up listening to these artists, it was a very surreal experience but one they will never take for granted. The end result was a currently unreleased track which will appear on the band’s debut EP, dropping in 2027.
The band met at college and started playing music together almost instantly. They squeezed into a studio flat until they could find a house, just so that they could write together every day. The four-piece even skipped their college lessons to write songs in their basement. SerpentS was born during a very transformative time of their lives, where they were constantly being met with lots of snake symbolism. They took this as a sign from the universe to become SerpentS, and the rest is history. Despite having played music together for years both on and off stage, this is the first time Eli, Cerys, Josh and Kian feel excited and truly ready to share it with the world.
