Sans Soucis – shares new single ‘Brave’ the third track from upcoming debut album / see UK & EU tour dates

Italian-born, London-based rising star Sans Soucis shares new single ‘Brave’, the third track from upcoming debut album ‘Circumnavigating Georgia’, due October 9th.

A gorgeous, tender moment on the album, ‘Brave’ features an impassioned extract from a speech by activist and writer Alok Vaid-Menon, and sees Sans Soucis in the present, embracing their queer identity and inviting people to reflect on the complicity and accountability that comes with the expectation that queer people need to be Brave in order to exist in this society.

‘Brave’ follows on from ‘If I Let A White Man Cut My Hair’, the musician’s ode to Black communities and sweat-soaked ‘Sexed &Sexual’. Circumnavigating Georgia will see the writer and producer Sans Soucis take us through their coming of age and the reclamation of their identity, tearing apart systemic patriarchy and anti-blackness that’s impacted their life. Each track on the album is set to introduce the audience to a new sonic palette, influenced by both the music and personal experiences from Sans Soucis’ teenage and early adulthood.

ALOK (they/them) is an internationally acclaimed poet, comedian, public speaker, and actor. ALOK’s literary works “Beyond the Gender Binary,” “Femme in Public,” and “Your Wound, My Garden,” have garnered global recognition. Their dynamic presence has captivated audiences in over 40 countries, with sold-out shows at venues including Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and headlining Netflix is a Joke and Just For Laughs Festivals.

Later this year, Sans Soucis will also debut this project live as part of a headline run of UK & EU dates. Full dates below. Buy tickets HERE.
