What a night for prog music lovers! The show was a full-on progressive metal experience with four incredible bands: Daath, Beyond Creation, Cynic, and headliners Rivers of Nihil.
Dååth kicked things off with their signature blend of death and groove metal—a great and powerful start that instantly got the crowd going. Their unique sound left everyone wanting more, and hopefully, they’ll be back soon with a longer set!
Beyond Creation followed, bringing their technical death metal mastery all the way from Canada. A minor tech issue early in their set was quickly resolved, and they went on to deliver a unforgettable performance. The energy in the venue was unreal, getting the crowd ready with full energy for the rest of the night.
Cynic took the stage next, with vocalist *Paul Masvidal* apologizing for voice issues (he was sick) but promising something special. Turns out, it didn’t matter at all—they blew everyone away with an incredible instrumental set packed with progressive metal. Unforgettable and mesmerizing gig!
Finally, Rivers of Nihil took the stage for their first-ever Dublin show, and they did not disappoint—what a performance! Their mix of prog and heavy elements was unreal, made even more captivating by the addition of a saxophonist making an incredibly dynamic and unique experience. A perfect way to end an incredible night of music – a truly grand finale!
