Rising new Irish alt-rock artist Toria – releases debut ‘Belief’ EP and powerful impact single ‘Final Draw’ this Friday

With the release of her debut ‘Belief ’EP, Toria announces herself as a new sound in Irish female alternative rock. Melancholic and moody tones are broken by an energetic and passionate alt rock soundtrack. A mix of beauty, passion and frustrated anger; lyrically, musically and physically. Following in the footsteps of so many iconic Irish female artists, Toria is a refreshing musical voice that demands to be heard.

Final Draw’ is definitely a more laid back and chilled song, and when I wrote this I had been listening to a lot of R’n’B at the time; I think that inspiration really comes through in this track. I love listening to “Final Draw,” because it brings me back to nights in my room where I’d be experimenting with all different kinds of sounds, and trying to implement different influences while also putting my own spin on them.’

Toria trained in classical piano from an early age, moving between alternative pop ballads and Beethoven. Her desire for more musical outlets led her to guitar, singing and eventually song writing. Having spent time growing up living in different parts of Ireland, she began testing out her new material at musician gatherings in small Irish towns. Toria’s passion for music in its many forms and her desire to write and perform ever more poetic compositions led her to music performance college in Dublin where she earned her degree. Toria has performed with her band throughout Ireland at festivals and spotlight venues, and her tracks have seen airplay on RTE Radio 1, RTE 2XM and Cork’s Red FM to name a few.
