Rising Dublin band Bold Love – share heartfelt homage to Co Kerry with the new single ‘I’m Home’

Following a major UK tour supporting Cliffords last month, fast-rising Dublin outfit BOLD LOVE share their new single, ‘I’m Home’ today, a heartfelt homage to Ireland’s rolling landscapes where the band finds solace, far removed from the relentless pace of urban life

‘I’m Home’ has emerged as a standout moment in BOLD LOVE’s live set – it’s sparse yet richly textured arrangement and intimate vocal harmonies capturing audiences with understated intensity. Keyboardist Megan Nic Ruairí joins Cian Ó’Maonlaí on vocals, weaving an emotional depth into the track’s atmospheric core.

Arriving fresh off the back of last month’s acclaimed release ‘Talking & Drifting”, ‘I’m Home’ sets the stage for the band’s first body of work, due later this summer, with producer Richie Kennedy(Interpol, Celeste, White Lies) at the helm.

“I wrote the song about my favourite place in the world, Dún Chaoin in the west of County Kerry” explains lead vocalist Cian Ó’Maonlaí. “The place represents so much for me, family, culture, escape. That’s what this tune is really about, the escape from the city and the peace you can find away from the noise. The overwhelming, immediate sense of connection and joy that you feel when you arrive in a place like that”.

With 2025 already in full swing for the six-piece, BOLD LOVE has earned praise from the likes of The Line of Best Fit, DIY Mag, and Rough Trade, while also amassing a formidable following in Ireland. Despite only releasing a handful of singles so far, the band has been named on several ‘ones to watch’ lists, including Hot Press‘ Hot for 2024, Whelan’s Ones to Watch, and RTE 2fm’s Rising for 2025.

Now, under their new moniker, BOLD LOVE are primed to take their brand-new material to a number of tastemaker festivals this year, including two shows at The Great Escape, along with slots at Latitude, All Together Now and Forbidden Fruit Festival.
