Pixie Lott – announces fourth studio album Encino and releases new single Somebody’s Daughter…

This Summer sees the return of singer-songwriter Pixie Lott who today announces her fourth studio album, Encino, out September 27th. The multi-million selling popstar kicks off her new era with the standout single, Somebody’s Daughter, out today, and also reveals she will be previewing the new tunes at an intimate, live show next month. To pre-order the album and get exclusive ticket access for the show at Hoxton Hall, visit link here.

Encino is packed full of autobiographical songs of romance, family and nostalgia, and the 13-track album sees Pixie taking control of her career for the first time. Every track is co-written by the pop star, and she delved deeper than ever before to open up and pour every emotion into these songs. Encino started life as a passion project for Pixie but swiftly became far more important than that and she knew this was the record she’d always wanted to make. Feeling authentically her, and leaning on influences such as Fleetwood Mac, Joni Mitchell, Joe Cocker and Paul Simon, Encino is the perfect evolution from the song driven debut she released 15 years ago.

Speaking of the album, Pixie adds: “I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since my last album, but I’m so excited to be back doing what I love the most. I’m taking risks this time. Previously, I’ve gone in the direction others have envisioned for me but nobody really ever pushed me to try the things I wanted. It’s scary but I’m going with my heart now – I want to show other sides of myself. I’ve always wanted to do something with a timeless, classic sound that could be played at any point in time.”

The lead single Somebody’s Daughter, produced by Jeeve, and co-produced by Dave Gibson, is the first taster of Encino, and sees her turn her pen towards toxic online behaviour and bullying. “I try not to read any negative stuff online, but sometimes you can’t help it. Somebody’s Daughter is a reminder that we’re all human – we need to be kind and put ourselves in someone else’s shoes more”.

Playing live has always been one of Pixie’s favourite things to do and she cannot wait to be back on the road with her phenomenal live band. Fans will be able to preview the record at an intimate show at London’s Hoxton Hall on 11th July. Pixie will be playing with a six-piece band, which will also include some of her hits from the first 3 albums but with a raw, fresh take to sit alongside her new music. Since selling 1.6 million copies of her 2009 debut album Turn It Up, Pixie has notched up three UK No.1 tracks, sold in excess of four million singles, secured four BRIT nominations, won 2 MTV EMA Awards, all while collaborating with the likes of Stevie Wonder, Pusha T, Jason Derulo and Lionel Richie. Elsewhere, she has fronted campaigns for Dolce & Gabbana, performed at Fendi’s Paris Fashion Week, judged The Voice Kids (coaching four winners to victory!) appeared as a guest judge on The X Factor and more. Her songs have been used as the soundtrack to countless movies and she has received in excess of 500 million YouTube views.

A rare quadruple threat – singer, songwriter, actress and dancer – Pixie has various other projects in the works. This year she started filming Christmas Karma where she is part of an all star cast including Eva Longoria, Hugh Bonneville, Charithra Chandran, Billy Porter and Boy George to name a few. She also stars in the new series of ITV crime drama McDonald and Dodds and recently took the leading role in Made In Dagenham for a special one-off sold out performance at London’s Palladium.
