Pete Tong has just announced his highly anticipated show at the Gleneagle Arena, Killarney on Friday 3rd July 2026.It all began in 2015, when BBC Radio 1 brought together legendary DJ and broadcaster Pete Tong with visionary orchestral conductor and composer Jules Buckley. Their mission? To fuse the worlds of electronic and classical/orchestral music into a groundbreaking live experience for the BBC’s late-night Prom at the iconic Royal Albert Hall. The result was nothing short of historic: a 65-piece orchestra breathing new life into the anthems of Ibiza in front of a sold-out crowd. That single performance quickly became the most-watched BBC Prom on YouTube, amassing over 8 million views and captivating fans around the world.
What began as a one-off show soon evolved into a full-blown musical phenomenon: Pete Tong’s Ibiza Classics. In the years that followed, the live show would tour internationally, taking over world-renowned venues such as The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl, and multiple sold-out nights at London’s O2 Arena.
But the journey didn’t stop on stage. Staying true to his A&R and label roots, Pete took Ibiza Classics into the studio, reworking dance music’s most iconic tracks for a new era. Collaborations with artists like the iconic Ultra Nate and melodic techno pioneers Tale Of Us helped bring fresh perspectives to classics like “Free (Do What U Want)” and “Time.” The result? Two critically acclaimed albums, a string of singles and EPs, over 300,000 in physical sales, and a #1 UK chart debut for Ibiza Classics.
Now, a decade later, Pete Tong’s Ibiza Classics Orchestra has become a fixture on the UK’s live music calendar — both summer and winter. With over 750,000 fans attending shows across the years, including sold-out performances at Blenheim Palace, Manchester AO Arena, The King’s Coronation concert, and many more, Ibiza Classics has redefined what live dance music can be.
The project has also featured an array of celebrated vocalists and guests, from John Newman and John Martin to the late Maxi Jazz (R.I.P.).
Most recently it celebrated its 10-year anniversary with four sold-out nights at Royal Albert Hall, welcoming legends like Becky Hill, Barbara Tucker, Damian Lazarus, David Morales, Paul Oakenfold, and Seth Troxler.
A true celebration of electronic music’s legacy, Pete Tong’s Ibiza Classics continues to bridge generations — proving that great music, when reimagined with passion and vision, is truly timeless.
