Pedro Sampaio – has announced a headline show for The Academy, Dublin 

Pedro Sampaio is one of Brazil’s leading funk and pop artists, known for blending Brazilian funk beats with global music styles. A DJ, producer, and singer, he has surpassed 14 billion audio and video streams, reaching the top of Spotify Brazil and Portugal with the hits “DANÇARINA” and “POCPOC.” Pedro Sampaio has now announced a headline Academy, Dublin show for Thursday, 2ndJuly 2026

A multifaceted artist, Pedro has also landed two tracks in Spotify’s Global Top 50 and seven in the Top 200. He is the only Brazilian pop artist to have two songs simultaneously on the Billboard Global chart. In just over five years, he has placed 21 tracks in Spotify Brazil’s Top 50.

He has collaborated with Anitta, J Balvin, Luísa Sonza, Pabllo Vittar, Marina Sena, Nicky Jam, among others, and delivered standout performances at Rock in Rio, Lollapalooza, The Town, and major festivals in Portugal.

Known for his high-energy live shows that showcase his power and versatility as a singer, DJ, and performer, Pedro Sampaio has played at some of the world’s biggest festivals, including Rock in Rio, Lollapalooza Brazil, The Town, Rock in Rio Lisboa, Festival MEO Sudoeste, and MEO Marés Vivas.

In 2022, he released his debut album “CHAMA MEU NOME,” which peaked at #7 on Spotify’s Global Top Albums chart and has amassed over 1.9 billion streams, featuring hits like “DANÇARINA,” “GALOPA,” and “ATENÇÃO.”

His second album, “ASTRO” (2024), includes the singles “POCPOC,” “CAVALINHO,” and “ESCADA DO PRÉDIO,” along with collaborations with J Balvin, Marina Sena, and Luísa Sonza. The project has already surpassed 900 million streams and became the most-streamed pop/funk album on Spotify Brazil in the second half of 2024.

In 2023, Pedro also launched the project SEQUÊNCIA, showcasing his producer side through original funk tracks. The project includes four songs —“SEQUÊNCIA REVOLUCIONÁRIA,” “SEQUÊNCIA COLOCADÃO,” “SEQUÊNCIA STRIPTEASE,” and “SEQUÊNCIA FEITICEIRA”— surpassing 200 million streams. Two tracks also ranked among Portugal’s most-streamed songs on Spotify: “SEQUÊNCIA FEITICEIRA” (#2) and “SEQUÊNCIA STRIPTEASE” (#40), became the most listened funk album in Brazil in 2025.

Early in his career, in 2021, Sampaio gained international attention with his remix of “WAP” by Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion. The rappers surprised audiences by bringing his funk version to the 2021 Grammy Awards stage, the world’s biggest music award show.

With an increasingly global trajectory, Sampaio has already completed three successful European tours. In 2023, he sold out some of Portugal’s largest venues. In 2024, he performed across nine cities in seven countries, selling out solo shows and drawing over 80,000 people at Rock in Rio Lisboa, breaking the attendance record of the iconic Palco Galp stage. That same year, he joined Anitta’s “Baile Funk Experience” tour as a special guest in Los Angeles, Miami, Berlin, Madrid, and Barcelona. In 2024, he also became the first Brazilian artist to perform at Bresh, the world’s biggest Latin party, with shows in Ibiza, Barcelona, and Brazil. He hosted Madonna’s ocial afterparty following her “The Celebration

Tour” concert at Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro for over 1.5 million people and joined Steve Aoki’s set at Tomorrowland Brasil.

By the end of the same year, he received his first Latin Grammy nomination with “Joga Pra Lua” in the category Best Portuguese-Language Urban Performance. He was also nominated at the MTV European Music Awards for Best Brazilian Artist

His latest single, “JETSKI,” quickly established itself as one of the biggest successes of his career, becoming a strong contender for the summer and Carnival hit. The track reached the top of the main digital platforms, peaking at #2 on Spotify Brazil, while also leading rankings on Apple Music, Deezer, and YouTube in the country, in addition to achieving standout positions in Portugal and appearing on Billboard’s global charts, including the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. US.
