DIY pop artist Pastiche shares the transfixing live video for her latest hit ‘Abandon the Planet’, which was filmed at Lost Lane in Dublin. The video gives viewers a taste of what they can expect from Pastiche’s show opening for Eurovision’s Aiko on 17th November at The Academy (tickets here).
‘Abandon the Planet’ closes out Pastiche’s stellar trio of 2024 singles. This is her darkest and most honest single to date, but coated in a shimmering pop sheen that Pastiche wears like armour. ‘Abandon the Planet’ was featured as Aindriú and Taran’s Track of the Week on RTÉ 2fm and Spin NOW’s Track of the Week on Spin SouthWest.
Dublin-born Pastiche burst onto the Irish scene at the end of 2020, bringing her fresh pop sensibilities. Brazen, fiery and memorable, she is an artist to sit up and take notice of. She has been hailed as “Ireland’s fastest rising pop star” (Hot Press).
Pastiche’s first 2024 single ‘Forfeit Control’ reached no. 3 on the Irish Radio Breakers Chart and has amassed 7.5 million radio impacts to date. The song and Pastiche’s own story drew attention from the Irish Times Women’s Podcast, Catch Up with Louise McSharry, The Sunday Times, Nialler9, Real Hot Girl Podcast and many others. She followed up with the euphoric banger ‘Dizzy’, which boasts 3.3 million radio impacts in Ireland and was featured as Roz and Emma’s Track of the Week on RTÉ 2fm. ‘Dizzy’ was playlisted on RTÉ 2fm for 6 weeks running and has enjoyed airplay across the country on stations including Beat 102-103, Today FM, iRadio, Spin 103.8, Red FM, Radio Kerry, FM 104 and many more.
