Ninajirachi absolutely tore the roof off Opium Live last night in Dublin. From the second she got behind the decks, she looked like she was having the time of her life, constantly moving and feeding off the room. It didn’t feel like a standard club set, it felt like a massive, sweaty house party where the DJ genuinely wanted to be there just as much as the fans.
The room was packed and the atmosphere was thick with that specific kind of “Dublin gig” chaos where everyone just loses their minds together. From a photographer’s perspective, it was a dream to shoot because there wasn’t a dull moment or a still body in the house.
What really stood out was how she never let the energy dip for a second. Every transition felt like another jolt to the crowd. Even when things got loud and heavy, there was this lighthearted, fun vibe to the whole show that made it feel personal rather than just another tour stop.
The heat in the room was on another level, too, I’ve shot plenty of rowdy gigs, but I’ve never had my lens fog up at a show before! It was the ultimate proof of how hard the crowd was going. Every time I wiped the glass, the room was just a blur of movement and strobe lights again. It was easily one of the most genuinely fun and intense shows I’ve covered in a long time.
