New Single ‘Valentine’ out t now from BELL X1 – Founding Member David Geraghty ahead of Irish Tour & Album

Valentine centres around a sense of loss and desolation felt from an estranged love.
While the main character carries their heavy heart in a once paradise-like world, the listener is pulled into a claustrophobic coalmine, where the air threatens to choke the songbirds that once sang together.

Valentine also plays with some themes that are akin to the loss of paradise, with a playful mash up with some contemporary phenomena, such as ‘Tinder’. Thus offering our hero a glimmer of hope to find love again and to clamour out of the darkness.

Geraghty/JMITP has opened for acts such as David Gray and Hall & Oates at Live At The Marquee, Cork and Iveagh Gardens, Dublin.

Since his last release, Geraghty completed an undergraduate course where he majored in composition and the study of classical piano. This saw him compose for a range of styles, which included Wind Ensemble, String Quartet and Electronica. These new musical ventures have allowed Geraghty to build on over 30 years of writing songs and creating cinematic soundscapes for screen.

For the making of the new album ‘KOMOREBI’, Geraghty also added the enriching process of Mixing to his Writer/Producer credentials. The album is an exciting development in this fresh and creative trajectory and is set for release in late Summer 2026.
