Fresh off the release of their debut self-titled album, Mirador the explosive new British-American project from Jake Kiszka of Greta Van Fleet and Chris Turpin of Ida Mae, stormed into Opium for a high-voltage Dublin show that felt like the birth of something huge.
The intimate venue buzzed with anticipation long before the duo hit the stage, and once they did, Opium practically shook. Mirador brought a gritty, blues-infused rock sound with the confidence of musicians who already know exactly who they are. Jake’s signature guitar firepower paired with Turpin’s raw, magnetic vocals made every track punch with intensity. Songs from the debut album landed with force, each met with roaring cheers from a crowd who were ready to embrace this new era from two seasoned artists.
Opening the night were Lady Of Mars, a London-based band who may be new on the scene with just three singles released, but you wouldn’t know it from their presence. They came out swinging with huge energy, sharp musicianship, and the kind of confidence that hints at a massive future ahead. Their set warmed the room perfectly, setting a dynamic foundation for Mirador’s arrival.
It was a powerful night of fresh rock energy, unforgettable performances, and the unmistakable feeling that Mirador are already carving out their place in the modern rock landscape.
