London, UK– LEAP have released their debut album, Entropy. They are plethora of rock and roll-induced extremes; a supersonic dance through the depths of lead-singer Jacky’s twisted and brilliant mind. Combining heavy riffs and beats, the odd sprinkle of electronica and anthemic pop, Jacky’s unique vocals take you on a journey through London’s underbelly and his own struggles with mental health, which saw him both gain and lose the major label Hollywood dream, whilst ending up in the Balcarres Hospital’s psychiatric ward in his hometown of Edinburgh.
The past 2 years have been completely game-changing. With over 40,000 tickets sold across the UK and Europe, it’s the reaction to the band’s explosive gigs that is driving a highly-engaged international fanbase. The first 3 EPs have seen a swell of editorial support. With a growing list of supporters at the likes of BBC Radio 1, Rolling Stone, MTV, Virgin Radio, Flux FM, BBC Radio 6, BBC Introducing, LEAP are fast-approaching undeniable status in the UK and Europe’s thriving rock scene as they build towards their debut album.
Today, 3rd October they release the emotive “Do Or Die”. A dark horse of the record that almost didn’t make it. It explores their friendship and hustle from being an independent band, but if you want something badly enough you will go all in“I’ll follow you blind, tell me how does it feel? Won’t leave you lonely on the battefield.”
“It’s impossible to explain what this means to us. Our debut album! It’s only been 2 years since we started touring and getting out to places all over Europe and meeting people. It’s gone so fast and we’re loving every second of it. We are so grateful that we’re able to keep it going. We’re a tiny team, it’s just us 4, plus mates basically, so everyone has put in outrageous levels of hustle.” says the band. “To actually be releasing a debut album together, it’s so exciting and we just wanna get this music out to as many people as possible. The number of fans that have become part of this family and connected with the music on a proper emotional level, it’s the best feeling ever. It’s the most rewarding thing about all of this, seeing people get a break from their heads and just let go for an hour. That’s exactly what it is for us as well. So to be able to share that with new people and bigger crowds, we’re so gassed for it.”
