Kellin Quinn – frontman and vocalist of Sleeping with Sirens has unveiled ‘A Collection of Greetings’ the debut album from his solo project Haunted Mouths

Kellin Quinn, frontman and vocalist of Sleeping with Sirens, unveiled A Collection of Greetings, the debut album from his solo project Haunted Mouths, via Rise Records. With this, he released a music video with co-collaborator Aaron Marsh (Copeland) for the ethereal track “Meanwhile.”

“Meanwhile” is a beautifully produced, intimate track that taps into feelings of melancholy with heavy synths and cavernous drums. The video complements the song’s reflective nature as it invites listeners to immerse themselves in the haunting atmosphere of the music. “Meanwhile is a song about enduring love. ‘True love is your soul’s recognition of its counterpoint in another,’” explains frontman Kellin Quinn.

Reading Julia Cameron’s 1992 self-help book, The Artist’s Way: A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity, kickstarted a new approach in Kellin’s songwriting. This new record is a romantic love letter, literally and figuratively, and a celebration of life’s rich complexity. It’s a singular experience, with each song demanding a listen to the next. Haunted Mouths wraps an invitingly familiar voice in powerful, dreamlike soundscapes. Brimming with atmosphere and mood, the name pays homage to the cemetery near Kellin Quinn’s childhood home.

I hope that people will listen to this album while driving at night. I hope they listen to it while hosting dinner with friends. I hope that this album “A Collection of Greetings” haunts you in the best way possible,” adds Kellin.

A Collection of Greetings was born without a hint of writer’s block. The songs came together in roughly two weeks of sessions between Aaron and Kellin as the duo volleyed ideas with synergetic harmony. Comprised of 10 tracks, the songs on this record move gracefully between lush, sparse, plaintive, and meditative.
