Jobi Riccio and Roesy – announced for live date at Whelan’s, Dublin

Birr-born singer-songwriter and painter Roesy has spent more than two decades developing one of the most distinctive bodies of work on the Irish music circuit. With a catalogue spanning eight albums and two EPs, Roesy’s music is celebrated for its lyrical depth, emotional clarity and warm, evocative sound. The Irish Times once described him as being “armed with a crystalline pair of vocal chords.”

After 15 years in Australia, Roesy permanently returned to Ireland in 2025, marking his homecoming with an 11-date solo tour that opened at Electric Picnic. Now entering a new chapter on home soil, his return to the stage brings with it a wealth of experience gathered through years of touring across Ireland, Europe, the US, Australia and New Zealand.

Joining him is Colorado-born artist Jobi Riccio, whose vulnerable vocal delivery, compelling live performances and deeply personal lyricism have established her as one of the most exciting voices in contemporary Americana.

Following her 2023 debut album Whiplash, a coming-of-age record rooted in folk and country traditions, Riccio is stepping into a bold new era with her forthcoming album Face The Feeling, released via Yep Roc Records. The record sees her embrace a more expansive, electric, indie-rock-driven sound, exploring grief, rage, self-doubt, desire and devotion with striking honesty.

Having performed at the Grand Ole Opry, made her national television debut on CBS Saturday Morning, and toured with artists including Lucius, Jason Isbell and Iron & Wine, Riccio brings a fearless sense of artistic evolution to the stage.

With Roesy’s painterly songwriting and Riccio’s emotionally charged, genre-expansive sound, this special Whelan’s performance offers an opportunity to experience two artists united by their honesty, artistry and ability to find beauty in the complexities of life.
