Jessica Brett confirms her status as one of the most exciting new Irish pop voices with sassy new single ”Hotter Than Hell” out Tomorrow 20th, you can now read our review here

Tipperary’s Jessica Brett is back, this time with sassy pop single “Hotter Than Hell”, releasing on Friday the 20th of June! The 26 year old has gathered support from 2FM, Today FM, SPIN, Beat 102 103, Amazing Radio, 98fm and Hot Press for previous singles “I’ll Come Back Better”, “Sleep At Night”, “Your Karma” and “It’s Always Been You”, and the polished production of her new release seems to me like it’ll guarantee plenty more rightful praise.

“With playful lyrics that represent both angelic charm and devilish temptation, ‘Hotter Than Hell’ tells a story about a love that feels both divine and dangerously addictive. Incorporating a mix of R&B and Pop, while channeling inspiration from artists like Sabrina Carpenter and Tate McRae, ‘Hotter Than Hell’ blends smooth, sultry vocals with a confident edge, capturing the thrill of falling in love.”

This is an excellent pop track. The beat is simple but crazy catchy, and her vocals are crystal clear throughout and super powerful exactly where they need to be. It’s a little on the short side, for me, but I don’t necessarily feel robbed – it’s short but sweet, and if anything, I think it’s a great show of how some songs don’t need to overstay their welcome. Jessica Brett’s energy stays consistent the whole way through, and that’s way more important.

This is a strong contender for an Irish song of the summer, and gets a 10/10 from me.

Rating: 10 out of 10.
