LA-bred rock femme fatale Jesse Jo Stark continues her hot streak with the release of her new single “Skeleton”. Not one to mince her words, Stark wrote the track in less than ten minutes, and left us with a stripped-down but beautiful ballad: “you took the flesh from me / made it look too easy / now i’m sad again / give back my fucking skin.”
“‘Skeleton’ embodies my stream of consciousness on a day I wasn’t feeling at home in the vessel I was given,” said Stark. “It’s hard enough to be who you are, and yet, so easy for others to tear apart…n then i remember with a smile, we are all just skeletons.”
Jesse Jo returned to the stage last Wednesday in San Francisco with her first show opening for The Veronicas on their 2024 Gothic Summer Tour, which is hitting cities across the United States. For ticketing information, please visit https://www.theveronicas.com/tour.
Stark kicked off 2024 with a successful two night sold-out concert series at Fontainebleau Hotel’s inaugural New Year’s Eve performance where she opened for Post Malone. Her set was made more special by her stage look, a late 70s vintage Bob Mackie piece from the archive, worn and owned by the Grammy, Emmy, and Oscar-winning icon, Cher. These shows marked the end of a career-defining year for the artist which included her first headlining international tour spanning across cities in the UK, Europe, and North America including sold out stops in London, Paris, Berlin, New York, and Los Angeles.
