Irish singer songwriter Jack Devlin – releases uplifting new single ‘Skin In The Game’ tomorrow 16th of September

Jack Devlin is a Northern Irish singer-songwriter known for his emotive lyrics, evocative
storytelling, and unyielding commitment to his craft. His music explores themes of personal
growth and human connection, which are set to resonate deeply with fans across the globe.

Northern Irish singer-songwriter Jack Devlin returns with “Skin in the Game”, out September
16th, 2025
—a raw, heartfelt track that captures the strain of family struggles and the strength
it takes to hold on when life feels overwhelming.
Where debut single “Radio” explored unexpected joy in fleeting encounters, “Skin in the
Game
” delves into the harder realities of growing up. Written during a period marked by
deep family challenges, the track reflects on what it means to carry weight that feels too
heavy for one person, and the resilience that comes from supporting each other through it.
The title was sparked by something Lewis Capaldi said in his Netflix documentary “How I’m
Feeling Now”—a phrase about having “skin in the game” that stuck with Jack and grew into
a song about endurance, empathy, and hope.

Lyrically, the track pulls no punches. “There’s blood on your hands, skin in the game /
The weight of the world, hits like a train
” sets the tone with unflinching honesty, while the
refrain—“Don’t give up on me now, don’t give up just hold on”—lands as both a plea and
a promise. It’s an intimate portrait of struggle that becomes something bigger: a message of
perseverance and connection that listeners from all walks of life can hold onto.
Musically, “Skin in the Game” builds with intensity—gritty yet melodic, blending heartfelt
lyricism with driving indie energy. It’s the sound of Jack finding catharsis through music,
channelling real life into something both personal and universal.

Following some recent viral success on TikTok, Jack has been dubbed “the Irish Sam
Fender
”—a comparison that speaks to both his anthemic indie sound and his ability to tackle
difficult themes with honesty and power. Already tipped as one of Ireland’s most compelling
new voices, Jack Devlin is carving a path that feels entirely his own.

Skin in the Game” is available on all streaming platforms from September 16th, 2025.
