On a mission to bring guitar rock to new heights in the Irish scene, Athlone band The Halez are leading the charge.
Debuting in 2024 with single “Charlie”, the Hot Press ‘A New Local Hero’ finalists are quickly rising to the forefront of Ireland’s contemporary rock exports – a fresh treat for fans of The Fratellis, Stone Roses, Kaiser Chiefs and Kasabian.
Following the success of 2025 singles “Coming For You” and “Let Live”, which earned strong nationwide support from Hot Press, Westmeath Independent, Today FM, Red FM and RTÉ 2XM, the band are delivering another, resonant, soft rock anthem layered with meaning.
With delicate layers of string accompaniment and warm call-and-response backing vocals echoing the push and pull of vulnerability and reflection, “Share Your World” is a slow burning confession of inner conflict that The Halez bring to light.
Drawing comparisons to the ambient and more introspective sides of Oasis and U2, The Halez have nurtured a refined, timeless sound that has caught the attention of Grammy-nominated producer Billy Farrell (The Corrs, Eddi Reader, Brian Kennedy), who has also mixed “Share Your World”. Recorded at Ballyrose Media in Co.Roscommon, owned by producer, pianist and audio engineer Wayne Thorose, the single was mastered by the revered Pete Maher (Peaky Blinders, The Pixies, Nick Cave, BBC Introducing, MTV, The Rolling Stones and Eurovision) and features Kevin Rice on violin and viola) and David Doyle on cello.
About the new release, lead vocalist and guitarist Kieran Murphy says, “The sentiment of ‘Share Your World”’ is about the importance of openness and connection. Encouraging people to seek support and not carry their burdens alone. We want to convey a message of self care through sharing and trusting others”
Proudly wearing their blend of earnest songwriting and rock finesse, The Halez charge into the third quarter of what has been their most exciting year since formation.
