Irish rock duo Dea Matrona – today release new single ”Every Night I Want” + May tour dates

Irish rock duo DEA MATRONA today release new single “Every Night I Want You”, the third offering from their highly-anticipated debut album ‘For Your Sins’, out 3rd May.

A softer release than previous singles “Black Rain” and “Stuck On You”, “Every Night I Want You” is a glistening and insatiable pop rock track, reminiscent of prime The Cranberries and Fleetwood Mac. It is a track that further emphasises Dea Matrona’s musical diversity and the varied influences that help make up their debut album. The accompanying music video, with its grainy tones and swirling angles, carries a distinctive and feelgood 70s vibe.

“The guitar chords in ‘Every Night I Want You’ were inspired by some of the jazz standards I’d learnt as a teenager after going through a bit of a jazz phase. We both wanted to honour The Cranberries with their iconic ‘doos’ which we added into the bridge. This is probably the most pop rock song of the album. We both thought that if this was in a Fleetwood Mac album, it would be a Christine McVie song. We wanted something that was feel-good in between the darker stuff on the record”.

The new track arrives ahead of a full tour of the UK and Ireland in May, plus the announcement of select special in-store shows – tickets for all dates are on sale now.
