Irish Indie-Pop weirdo ROE – releases new single ‘Caravan’

ROE is indie-pop and folk songwriter Roisin Donald from Derry. One of Northern Ireland’s most celebrated and recognisable young songwriters, ROE has been carving a path through the music industry since she appeared on Glastonbury’s BBC Introducing Stage aged just 18, which led her on to perform across Europe, North America, India and beyond; supporting local legends Snow Patrol on their 2018/19 UK Arena Tour.

After taking a break throughout 2023, ROE is back in 2024 with a new collection of songs and a fresh outlook on songwriting, performing, and her place in the industry. Staunchly independent, ROE has achieved all that she has without any label or publishing involvement, rather focussing on building a small and dedicated team. Her first single of 2024, ‘Cinema’, was released in March, with the follow up ‘Autopilot’ released on 9th August.

About ‘Caravan’

“Caravan is a song about friendship.

Generally when you’re young you think everything lasts forever – but eventually relationships change, friends move away and suddenly the people you spent every hour and every minute of the day with once aren’t in your life anymore

Some days I feel that twist in my gut from the guilt of not trying hard enough. Some days I just wonder if they ever think about where I am and what I’m up to or if it’s just me.

This song is an ode to old friends and lost thoughts.” – ROE
