Currently on their sold out tour across UK and Europe, Irish indie-pop-rockers modernlove present their 4th EP. The final single and title track ‘Something To Hold On To’ is a monster anthem with huge singalong moments already capturing crowds on tour. With sold out shows across Germany, Switzerland, Austria, NL & CZ on release week, it’s a big moment for the band as they release their final body of work before entering their debut album campaign across 2025.
‘Something To Hold On To is about the empty space it seems we’re all born with inside of us that can only be made whole by another person. It speaks to the deep, almost spiritual craving we develop for that person when they do come along and how it can turn into something really painful quite when they’re gone. It’s about someone who comes into your life and kind of runs away with it.’
With larger than life indie-pop anthems born of small town boredom, coming of age, big nights out and young love gone wrong, modernlove are a new generation’s brightest hope – already racking up streams in their millions and selling out shows all over the world, simply by singing about what they know and having a good time doing it. From playing dingey rural pubs to working with super-producer Luca Buccellati (of Arlo Parks and Lana Del Rey fame), this Irish band of young 20-somethings are well on course to fulfil their potential as one of the fastest-rising pop-rock bands.
