Irish hyperpop rising star HANNAHBELLA releases highly anticipated new single ‘SKIN’

Cork experimental electronic-pop up and comer HANNAHBELLA shares the vibrant, Multifaceted new single ‘Skin’.

Showcasing the genre-bending originality which has seen her acclaimed across press, radio and editorial playlists alike, the solo artist has built a glowing reputation for her striking and vibrant blend of glitchy hyper-pop, techno elements, and alt-rock.
Recorded and mixed alongside acclaimed producer Jessica Richardson (WhenTheBeatIsBad), ‘Skin’ opens with swirling synths and choppy, off-kilter electronic beats as Hannah’s elegant lead vocals dance above surrounded by well placed harmonies.

As the track progresses, the track soon introduces a grinding sub heavy electronic bass as Hannah delivers a captivating spoken word chorus. Continuing to grow the track closes with cut up vocals which glitch above the fizzing high hats and swelling bass. Fitting between electronica and grime infused pop, the soundscape is at once accessible and experimental.

Speaking about the track HANNAHBELLA shares: “I wanted to create a haunting love song but ultimately I wanted it to be hot and sharp. I loved the idea of two spirits/souls being infatuated or intertwined with one another so I ran with that in mind when writing the lyrics.

Sonically, Jess (WhenTheBeatIsBad) and I wanted to keep in line with this theme so we kept it minimal yet making what we had huge so when that fierce bass line was born we were obsessed.”

Since starting to release music in 2021, HANNAHBELLA has made significant strides with tracks featured across prestigious Spotify editorial playlists such as New Music Friday, Misfits 2.0, Breathe of Fresh Éire, and Fresh Finds UK & IE, amplifying her reach to a global audience. Following support from prominent stations including RTE 2fm and Cork’s Red FM, her talent has also been recognized by major press outlets, with features in RTE, District, Hot Press, Ear Milk, DMY, DNÜ, Notion, Golden Plec, and Nialler9

Hannahbella’s live performances have further solidified her reputation, as she has had the opportunity to open for renowned acts such as Baby Queen, Essiray, and The Cliffords, showcasing her dynamic stage presence and ability to represent her experimental edge on a live stage.
