Irish composer and songwriter Lōwli returns with the release of her powerfully poignant new single ‘Ground Above You’ out 30th April 2025 via Veta Records.
The release explores themes of identity, existence and disconnection depicted from an introspective lens. Rich, neo-classical influences are met with an atmospheric dark-pop energy, creating something hauntingly beautiful as a result. Lōwli’s hypnotic vocal soars effortlessly over elegant piano tones and solemn strings in-order to create an ethereal sound akin to the likes of Agnes Obeland Hania Rani. Of the single, Lōwli elaborates, “Ground Above You explores feeling lost in your sense of self while struggling to find purpose and understanding in an often unsettling and disjointed world”
Lōwli is the solo project of Roisin Lowry. Lōwli has previously received praise from the likes of The Irish Times, Hot Press, The Last Mixed Tape and has also been selected for several Spotify editorial playlists.She has performed on stages at Other Voices,Ireland Music Week and The Galway Arts Festival, to name a few. In 2023, she also performed a sold out headline show in Dublin’s renowned Smock Alley Theatre. Her music has been played on RTÉ Radio 1, RTÉ 2FM,BBC Radio and more, as well as being featured on the RTÉ Radio 1Recommends List. Lōwli has recently written and recorded her debut album,which due for release later this year.
