Irish artist Destiny and Fate – announces the release of their debut single “The Next Step”

Irish artist Destiny and Fate announces the release of their debut single “The Next Step”, arriving on Today January 2, 2026. The project marks a bold new era for producer, saxophonist, and songwriter Adam Nolan, known for his fearless creativity and genre-defying career.

Blending disco grooves, electronic textures, funk rhythms, and soul-driven energyThe Next Step introduces a pop-forward sound that contrasts sharply with Nolan’s acclaimed work in free jazz and underground hip hop. Inspired by artists such as Empire of the Sun, Fleetwood Mac, and Madonna, the track embraces optimism, movement, and a renewed outlook on life.

“This single represents the positive outlook to ‘the next step’ of my musical journey,” says Nolan.

Under the Destiny and Fate moniker, Adam Nolan channels a more accessible yet deeply intentional sound, while maintaining the adventurous spirit that has defined his career. A prolific force in European music, Nolan has released 19 free jazz albums and 7 hip hop singles under the alias Slow Yoyo. His work spans improvisation, spoken word, and experimental composition, with performances that are never repeated the same way twice.

Nolan has collaborated with many of Ireland’s leading improvisers, including Derek Whyte, Dave Redmond, Carole Nelson, Tom Corcoran, Dominic Mullan, Graham Heaney, Aidan Gray, Christian Conefery, Arjun Desai, and Jason MacNamara. He also recorded his most ferocious album, Are U Free, during a month-long stay in New York with American musicians Brian Kastan and James Paul Nadien.

Beyond music, Nolan gained wider recognition through his documentary “Already Famous,” which chronicles his artistic journey and personal struggles. In candid interviews, he has spoken openly about surviving a life-altering psychosis and suicide attempt in 2023, an experience that reshaped his philosophy on creativity, consciousness, and healing.

“I experienced a spiritual awakening within a spiritual awakening — not many people can say that.”

Now focused on growth, positivity, and forward motion, The Next Step reflects Nolan’s belief that creativity must evolve. It is music for movement — emotionally, spiritually, and physically — encouraging listeners to pursue joy, ambition, and self-belief.

If you’re looking for an artist whose music is shaped by lived experience, fearless experimentation, and an unwavering commitment to evolution, Destiny and Fate is one to watch in 2026.
