Irish artist BABA announces debut album and a show fro the Workmans Cellar Dublin

Hailed for having “one of the best voices in Ireland bar none” (The GOO), soulful pop artist Baba today announces that her debut album Truth will be released on Friday 30th May via Welcome To The New World.

“This album is my story—my journey through the highs and lows of recent years, shaped by love, loss, and the search for meaning,” says Baba about this incredibly personal body of work.

“It is an honest reflection on grief, resilience, and self-discovery, born from my struggles with fertility, the heartbreak of baby loss, and the mental health challenges that followed. It is a story about facing the complexities of healing while embracing those glorious moments of love, joy, nostalgia, and hope. Always hope. There was room for some bangers in there too!”

The 12 track album includes the singles ‘Love Like This’, ‘Sad Party’, ‘Apollo’, and the title track, ‘Truth’. “The album feels like it is divided into four distinct acts, each portraying a different story from various periods of my life over the past few years. These ‘acts’ are connected by voice note interludes that provide a glimpse into my world and the inspirations behind the music,” says BABA.
