Ireland’s newest shoegaze/pysch rock force First Class Rebel – release debut single ‘Shadows Fade’

Ireland’s Newest  Shoegaze  | Psych Rock Force Emerges in 2025

Irish musician Ian Burke unveils his new project First Class Rebel, a one-man exploration of psych gaze—a fusion of psych rock atmospheres and shoegaze haze. Recorded at Darklands Audio with acclaimed producer Dan Doherty, the debut release promises a lush yet gritty soundscape of layered guitars, dreamy melodies, and distortion-drenched reverb.

With influences ranging from The Jesus and Mary Chain and The Brian Jonestown Massacre to Oasis, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, and Mogwai, First Class Rebel is set to carve its own sonic path. The debut single and music video will be released soon, marking the beginning of a bold new chapter in Ireland’s vibrant music scene.

First Class Rebel is a name you won’t want to forget.

First Class Rebel, the new project from Irish musician Ian Burke, makes its debut with “Shadows Fade” — a swirling wall of sound built on layers of distorted guitars and cavernous reverb. The track captures the heavy, immersive density of shoegaze while channelling the raw spirit of psych rock, weaving atmosphere and grit into one powerful statement.

Influences of The Stone RosesRide and The Brian Jonestown Massacre seep through, shaping a sound that feels both timeless and urgent. Recorded at Darklands Audio with producer Dan Doherty, “Shadows Fade” introduces listeners to the sonic intensity of First Class Rebel — a debut that sets the stage for what promises to be an expansive and uncompromising musical journey.
