From St. James’s Gate to St. James’ Church: Other Voices Home is the First Stop on the Road to 25 Years of Other Voices in Dingle
Other Voices: Home is back at the Guinness Storehouse on Sunday, 8 November 2026, and this year it’s the start of something extra special. As Other Voices heads for Dingle and its 25th edition, Home sets the journey in motion at St. James’s Gate with an intimate night of music and song in the heart of the Liberties. Tickets are just €10, with all proceeds going to the Guinness Dublin 8 Community Fund.
Copenhagen five-piece ICEAGE lead the first acts announced, marking their first Irish show since 2018. Over nearly two decades, they’ve blurred the lines between post-punk, noise rock and expansive melodic rock, with a sound that’s as volatile as it is beautiful. Formed by childhood friends in 2008, they’ve evolved from their punk beginnings into something shaped by Elias Bender Rønnenfelt’s brooding, poetic vocals with snarling guitars. Their latest album, For Love of Grace & the Hereafter, pushes further beyond genre than ever, and they’ll join Fontaines D.C. on their 2027 North American tour as main support. Pitchfork calls them “a moving target still”; and The Guardian describes them as “gloriously untamed”. Check out Star.
Joining Iceage is CORMAC BEGLEY, one of the most thrilling players in Irish music today. A concertina player from the West Kerry Gaeltacht, rooted in the musical traditions of his family, Corca Dhuibhne and Clare, he plays bass, baritone, treble and piccolo concertinas, and takes the instrument places you’d never expect it to go. His solo album B was The Irish Times’ Album of the Year 2022 and he was named Best Folk Instrumentalist at the 2022 RTÉ Folk Awards, and he’s toured the world as a central musical presence in Michael Keegan-Dolan and Teaċ Daṁsa’s MÁM.
He’s recorded with everyone from Lisa O’Neill, Ye Vagabonds and Lankum to Brian Eno, U2 and Dermot Kennedy, and his latest album, Into the Loam, is a collaboration with fiddle and viola player Liam O’Connor. Closer to home, he’s the founder and Artistic Director of Airt, an arts centre in the West Kerry Gaeltacht.
Texas-based producer, singer and multi-instrumentalist QUIET LIGHT, aka Riya Mahesh, is one of the most exciting emerging voices in alternative pop. She calls her songs “dream sequences”, ethereal, Lynchian electropop with a creative vision all her own. Her star soared this year when Olivia Rodrigo personally invited her to play her inaugural Daisy Chain Fields festival, alongside Chappell Roan, Doechii, Mitski and Stevie Nicks.
Her critically acclaimed mixtape Blue Angel, Sparkling Silver 2 has put her firmly on the map, landing her the cover of NME and acclaim from Pitchfork, The Guardian, The Line of Best Fit, and Clash. Co-signed by Iggy Pop and fresh from a tour with Cameron Winter and Nilüfer Yanya, she’s fast becoming one of the names to know. Check out You Say I Love You.
Returning as host is the brilliant MAYKAY, keeping the night moving with the warmth and wit that Other Voices: Home audiences know and love. And that’s just the beginning… More artists will be announced soon.
The Road Home Begins Here
Twenty-five years ago, Other Voices started out in a small church on the edge of Ireland. This November, we set out from our Dublin home. Fittingly, the journey starts at St. James’s Gate in the heart of Dublin and ends at St. James’ Church in Dingle at the edge of the Atlantic. As the nights draw in, Other Voices: Home at the Guinness Storehouse is a chance to gather: a celebration of Irish culture, of the creativity carrying it forward, and of the community here in the Liberties. A night to raise our voices together and sing our way home.
Philip King, Founder of Other Voices, said: “As we head towards year’s end and the nights draw in, our thoughts turn toward Home – towards warmth, safety, family, community and to the things that sustain us. Home to the music and songs that transport and move us, that we find ourselves returning to time and time again, like old friends. Home to the traditions that inform and nourish us, that give us a sense of who we are and where we come from. Other Voices at The Guinness Storehouse offers a moment of convergence and harmony, amidst the coming and going of things. A moment to reflect on what has passed, what is passing and what is still to come is a moment to raise our voices, to come together and to sing our way Home.”
Catherine Toolan, Managing Director, Diageo Irish Brand Homes, added: “Other Voices: Home is always such a special night for us at the Guinness Storehouse. There is something really powerful about bringing incredible artists and audiences together here in the heart of the Liberties, and this year feels particularly special as we help mark the beginning of the journey to 25 years of Other Voices in Dingle.
I love the connection between St. James’s Gate and St. James’ Church – two very different places, but both rooted in community, culture and bringing people together. We’re incredibly proud to play a small part in that journey, and even more so knowing that every ticket sold will support the Guinness Dublin 8 Community Fund and the community we are so proud to call home.”
Harping On – New Music & Conversation Series
Can’t wait until November? Catch up on Harping On, a new four-part music and conversation series from Other Voices and the Guinness Storehouse, recorded around last year’s Other Voices Home. Hosted by MayKay in the Guinness Storehouse vinyl snug, it pairs intimate chats with 2025 performers Lisa Hannigan, SPRINTS, Brògeal and Rachel Chinouriri, as they dig into the records that raised them, the Irish artists they love and their favourite Other Voices memories, plus some very special stripped back performances.
Watch the first drop now with Brògeal here.
