Vicenza-based band Hearts Apart have announced the release of “I Hate The Summer,” an explosive punk’n’roll track that will be part of their new EP, set to drop at the end of February via Epidemic Records.
The band comments:
“I Hate The Summer is a song that encapsulates much of what Hearts Apart is about: punk rock, desperation, rock’n’roll, sadness, fun, nerdy vibes, irony, failure. Yes, we believe you can sweat away the darkness by dancing and crying at the same time, and this song is perfect for that.”
Those who have already appreciated Hearts Apart’s electrifying energy, catchy melodies, and engaging live performances will be thrilled with this comeback. All the signature elements of their unique sound are present but cranked up to the next level. If “I Hate The Summer” sets the perfect mood for this return, the entire EP, titled “Summer Bummer,” is ready to give voice to the mix of conflicting emotions that summer tends to amplify.
This is it. This is the heart of Hearts Apart—the eternal Summer Bummer. The constant contrast between energy, sweat, redemption, fun, and at the same time, depression, darkness, failure, and despair. All together, always, without respite, without surrender. Six songs to survive these six very songs. Melody and tension, harmonies and sharp lies, sun and moon straight to the veins. A balance that remains distant. A stage that’s always close. Enjoy this cold, harsh, glacial summer of ours.
Epidemic Records invites you to mark your calendars for February 28th, when “Summer Bummer” will be released in both digital format and a limited edition vinyl.
