Häxkapell – premieres new single ‘Metamorfos’ ahead of thire upcoming LP release

From the remote reaches of Haparanda, Sweden, Häxkapell presents a black metal masterpiece that resonates with the eternal rhythms of nature and the cyclical dance of life and death.

Founded in 2015 in the northernmost part of Scandinavia, Häxkapell is the creation of Oraklet, who embarked on an inward journey to explore the philosophical, spiritual, and mystical aspects of existence. Following the 2016 demo “Om sanningen,” Häxkapell released their debut album, “Eldhymner”, in 2021.

On “Om jordens blod och urgravens grepp”Häxkapell’s music evolves much like the earth itself: slowly, imperceptibly, yet ever-changing. It reflects the cycle of birth and bereavement, with death and life beginning anew as earthen folk melodies murmur ancient slumbers into the dawn. Oraklet channels these profound truths into lyrics and music. Describing the concept behind ‘Metamorfos’, Oralket creates the picture of : “A metamorphosis, a transformation. To die. The grandeur of the liminal. Coldness. Life turns towards the icy chill of death. Flesh and blood become stone and soil. The frantic pace and shifting time signatures accentuate the wild and rabid struggle within death’s jaws. The sword of the endtimes burrows deeper into the chest, and blood flows across the altar.”

The musical aspects reflect the cycle of birth and bereavement, with death and life beginning anew as earthen folk melodies murmur ancient slumbers into dawn. Oraklet channels these profound truths into lyrics and music. “Häxkapell embodies a quest for knowledge, power, wisdom, and strength. It is a tribute to Satan, darkness, and death, yet equally a pursuit of balance, chaos, and the eternal light that shines behind the shadows of the Archetypes.”

Om jordens blod och urgravens grepp’ is coming out this January 10 via Nordivs Produktion. Pre-order CD/LP/digital on Bandcamp here.
