Hanumankind – has just announced a headline show at The Academy, Dublin

Kerala-born, Houston-raised and Bengaluru-based rapper HANUMANKIND who will go down in history as one of the artists who introduced the world to Indian hip-hop, has justannounced a headline Academy, Dublin show for Monday, 14th July 2025.

Hanumankind, born Sooraj Cherukat in Kerala, is an artist whose journey from the cultural richness of India to the vibrant streets of Houston, Texas, has profoundly shaped his sound. Growing up surrounded by the influences of Southern hip-hop legends like Three 6 Mafia and DJ Screw, he developed a unique blend of styles that merges Indian heritage with contemporary hip-hop. Despite earning a degree in Business Administration and a stable position at Goldman Sachs, his passion for music ultimately drew him back to his roots.

In 2019, Hanumankind released his debut EP, Kalari, featuring standout tracks like “Daily Dose,” which quickly garnered attention on the Indian hip-hop scene. His subsequent work, including the album Surface Level, solidified his reputation as a dynamic storyteller, seamlessly fusing hip-hop, R&B, and Indian musical elements. His recent single, “Big Dawgs,” propelled him into global recognition. The track debuted at #57 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has amassed over 37 million streams on Spotify, while also going viral on TikTok with over 111 million views.

The accompanying music video, directed by Bijoy Shetty, showcased Hanumankind’s electrifying presence and death-defying stunts in a carnival setting, further amplifying the song’s impact. With a name that symbolizes strength and perseverance, Hanumankind continues to break boundaries and inspire a new generation of artists, carving a unique space in the international music landscape.
