The Workman’s Club shook to its core on Thursday night as GRRRLS TO THE FRONT returned for Chapter 3, pulling no punches and throwing the crowd headfirst into a wall of sound and sweat. With a lineup of Blush, Carynx, and Motion Sickness, the night was a full-throttle celebration of grit, noise, and the unfiltered chaos that makes live music feel alive.
From the first chords, the energy in the room was feral crowds screaming lyrics back, moshing with abandon, and bodies moving in a blur of sweat and noise. At one point, the pit went so hard a girl walked away with a nosebleed. The singer stopped to check in, but in true punk spirit she just laughed it off, shouted that she was “having too much fun,” and dove right back into the chaos. It was the perfect snapshot of the night, messy, raw, and completely exhilarating.
Each band brought their own flavour of distortion and defiance. Blush with their sharp, driving riffs, Carynx layering intensity with snarling edge, and Motion Sickness closing with a blistering set that had the room in pieces.
GRRRLS TO THE FRONT Chapter 3 wasn’t just a gig, it was a reminder of why this scene matters: women tearing it up on stage, a crowd throwing themselves into every note, and the undeniable sense that something powerful is brewing in Dublin’s underground.
