Gráinne Duffy – to release new album ‘What Am I Supposed To Do?’ this Friday 22nd of May

Acclaimed roots-rock guitarist, singer and songwriter Gráinne Duffy will release her sixth studio album, ‘What Am I Supposed To Do?’ this Friday, May 22nd.

Recorded in Los Angeles in January 2025 during the fires with producers Marc Ford (Black Crowes) and Justin Stanley (Eric Clapton, Sheryl Crow), ‘What Am I Supposed To Do?’ comprises nine tracks of blues-rock authority: raw, direct, nothing wasted.

The Monaghan artist’s 2023 album ‘Dirt Woman Blues’ – co-produced by Grammy winner Chris Goldsmith (Ben Harper, Blind Boys of Alabama) and Marc Ford — hit #1 on the USA RMR Top 50 for seven consecutive weeks and was named 5th Best Blues Album of the Year by Classic Rock Magazine.

Before that, ‘Voodoo Blues’ (2020) earned her the Independent Blues Award for Best Modern Roots Artist and charted in the U.S., UK, and France.

Over nearly two decades and five continents, Duffy has shared stages with Gary Clark Jr., Ben Harper, Billy Gibbons, Keb’ Mo’, Mavis Staples, and Alanis Morissette and has appeared on BBC sessions with Bob Harris and Paul Jones, recorded at George Martin’s Air Studios, and has performed on Ireland’s renowned series Other Voices.
