Irish legend Gemma Hayes played to a packed Vicar Street on the 18th on her Blind Faith Tour. You can see some great photos of the show on Hot Press or Golden Plec.
This gig follows the success of Gemma Hayes’ newest single, ‘Hardwired.’ Written post-COVID, the song reflects on the consumption of misinformation throughout the pandemic, and how polarised the world seemed to become due to disinformation. With radio support from the likes of BBC 6 Music and RTÉ Radio 1, ‘Hardwired’ has been added to Hayes’ long list of recent successes.
Hayes is gearing up to release album number five this September to add to her critically acclaimed discography. Ahead of that, she will play Night & Day Festival (29th June), The Seamus Ennis Arts Centre (13th July) and support Damien Dempsey at his Iveagh Gardens headliner on the 19th July.
