Gemma Hayes today announces a series of 10 intimate acoustic shows across Ireland, taking place in February and March 2025, presented by Turning Pirate.
Gemma Hayes will play shows at Mike The Pies (Kerry), Source Arts Centre (Tipperary), Mermaid Arts Centre (Wicklow), Ballymaloe Grainstore (Cork), Riverbank Arts (Kildare), Hawk’s Well Theatre (Sligo), Dolan’s (Limerick), Spirit Store (Louth) and Cleere’s (Kilkenny).
Tickets from €25 are on sale now via gemmahayes.com.
The tour follows the release last September of Blind Faith, Gemma’s first album in over 10 years (“The album of her career” – MOJO).
Blind Faith has been a hit with critics and stalwart fans, as well as being a vehicle for Gemma to bring her music to a whole new audience.
Hayes’ songs have always drawn their power from her lyrical intimacy and lucidity, juxtaposed with her penchant for experimenting with various sonic textures that embrace both the quiet and the loud.
These hallmarks are on riveting display throughout Blind Faith’s nine compositions, produced by Hayes herself alongside Karl Odlum, David Odlum & Brian Casey.
