Sunday brought a fitting finale to Forest Fest 2026, with another spell of warm sunshine accompanied by the occasional light shower drifting across Bee’s Wing Farm. The weather did little to dampen spirits as the final day unfolded in County Laois.
From early morning, campsites were a hive of activity. Some festivalgoers packed away their tents and headed for home before the music began, while others squeezed every last minute from the weekend. At the same time, a fresh wave of day trippers streamed through the gates, eager to catch one final day of live music.
As is tradition, Sunday’s schedule was slightly more streamlined than the previous day, but there was no shortage of excitement. The arena quickly filled with fans, while food vendors, market stalls and festival attractions remained busy throughout the afternoon, creating a lively atmosphere that carried into the evening.
The Boomtown Rats delivered a polished and energetic performance, reminding the crowd why they remain one of Ireland’s most enduring rock bands. Their set struck the perfect balance between nostalgia and timeless songwriting, earning a warm reception from an appreciative audience.
Headlining the festival in unforgettable fashion, Madness transformed the main stage into one giant party. Their infectious ska-pop classics had thousands singing, dancing and bouncing along from start to finish, providing the perfect soundtrack to Forest Fest’s closing celebrations.
Forest Fest 2026 ended exactly as a great festival should, with outstanding performances, smiling faces and an atmosphere that will leave fans counting down the days until next year.
