Folly Festival Day 1: Music, Magic & Madness in Cullohill
The first night of Folly Festival 2025 kicked off in style in the charming village of Cullohill and what a way to start. Gates opened at 6pm and there was a lively and friendly atmosphere. The early evening was all about getting everyone warmed up and dancing.
Cliona McDonald brought the first live energy to the stage, and things only soared from there. Clodagh Lawlor delivered a powerful set just before 9, her vocals filled the venue and got a lot of the crowd moving. Then came crowd favourite Lisa McHugh, who had the crowd fully on their feet with her infectious charisma and country-pop charm.

But it was Jerry Fish who stole the show, turning the night into something surreal. Backed by a full band and mesmerizing circus acts, his set felt like a wild carnival mixed with a concert. All lit up against the stunning backdrop of Cullohill Castle, he gave us a performance that was as much a feast for the eyes as it was for the ears.
Day one was a great success. Let’s see what day two and Chasing Abbey brings!
