FIZZ / Maya Delilah – Vicar Street , Dublin 18.02.2024

FIZZ a super group of sorts, comprising of Orla Gartland, Dodie, Greta Isaac and Martin Luke Brown, who were one most hyped new bands of 2023 and released their debut album ‘The Secret To Life’ in October of 2023 played Vicar Street Dublin and after seeing them last night I can see why. The band are a band that a clearly having lots of fun playing together.
The show was a little to short, coming in at just marginally over an hour and I reckon left everyone wanting more. But in the hour everyone got all the hits and a high energy show as all members made good use of the stage space in-between the spotlights and over sized lollipops that accompanied the back drop that was reminiscent a Wizard of Oz landscape.
All members took turns in the singing duties and guitar playing. over all the whole show is a mad caped wonderland of songs and a band creating another world with the FIZZ creation.
FIZZ are a band that everyone should see live and I for one cant wait till the next time. Escapism is good!.

Opening on the night was English singer-songwriter and guitarist. Maya Delilah and she held the packed venue in her hand through out her set as she stood alone on stage with her guitar and got everyone nicely warmed up for what was about to explode on the stage after her.
