Fantastic Negrito – releases his new live album, Alive! + shares focus track ‘Honest Man’

Fantastic Negrito releases his new live album, Alive!, via Storefront Records. Recorded live at shows across the world, the album captures the power of human connection at a time when culture is increasingly mediated by algorithms and presents live performance as one of the last truly collective art forms: completely human, unedited, and shaped in real time by the exchange between artist and audience.

On the album, Fantastic Negrito says “Everything and everyone is my teacher. We’re in the age  of information and artificial intelligence, where a song can be written by a machine and a voice can be built out of nothing. I wanted the opposite, a record that’s alive, with all its rough edges. I wrote these songs, played them, and sang them live, on stages across the world.”

As a final look into the project, today Fantastic Negrito shared the focus track “Honest Man.” Swelling with soulful emotion, the track unfurls with an eerie rock sound that ebbs and flows before reaching a fever pitch. The live recording enhances the distinct choices the band makes on the spot each time they play, making it a perfect example of the improvisational spectacle that is a Fantastic Negrito show.

Fantastic Negrito is currently on tour this summer with tour dates in the US, Europe, and more.
