Ellie Bleach just released her second EP ‘Now Leaving West Feldwood‘,out now on Sad Club Records. Ellie Bleach released a string of standalone singles in 2023 – each cementing her unique world-building storytelling, set in a universe where wide-lens suburbia wrestles with esoteric yearning. To celebrate the release of the new EP, Ellie Bleach is currently on a UK tour and will headline The Social in London next week (full dates below).
Ellie also shared a video for new song, Hottest Man Alive 1995
Now Leaving West Feldwood is Ellie Bleach’s second EP, featuring five main tracks + an outro track, which all take place in the fictional town of West Feldwood.
The EP is an anthology of characters who all reside in the same town, with each of the five main tracks told from the perspective of a different character. The final sixth track, outro Now Leaving West Feldwood concludes the story with the town destroyed in an industrial accident.
With a penchant for cinematic storytelling, her wry wit and esoteric lyrical style harbours a biting cynicism that examines the strange eccentricities of modern life. Pulling from the world-building singularity of Ethel Cain mixed with the wit and showmanship of CMAT, her music soundtracks a rotating cast of lonely, misunderstood people that exist within suburbia.
