Elaine Mai – has shared the new single ‘Aim (ft. Faye O’Rourke) today, you can now read our review here

The sun’s finally shown its face over Ireland, and with it comes the arrival of Elaine Mai’s brand-new single Aim, a euphoric, feel-good track that couldn’t have landed at a better time. Whether you’re dancing in your kitchen or soaking up some rare rays in a park, this one fits the moment perfectly.

Teaming up with Soda Blonde’s Faye O’Rourke, Mai has delivered a powerful tune that knows how to hit hard on the beat. The production is pretty solid on this one, drives forward with just the right amount of build-up. There’s a good drop in the middle that gives it a nice lift before it powers through to the end.

Faye’s vocals are outstanding here. They glide effortlessly over the production. It’s a collab where both artists shine equally, but you also get the sense they could’ve each carried the song on their own too.

Aim isn’t just a vibey, festival-ready banger, it’s also a teaser for Mai’s upcoming album For Us, out September 19th. There’s also a headline show lined up for the Button Factory on October 25th, which feels like the perfect place to hear this one live.

Casual but commanding, Aim is a solid return from Mai and a brilliant pairing with O’Rourke.

”Aim” gets a well deserved 7.5 out of 10

Rating: 7.5 out of 10.
