If you like or have played the video game series God Of War or you have watched the TV series The Last Kingdom or you just have good taste in music and have a liking for all things viking, then you have most likely heard of Eivør Pálsdóttir singer-songwriter and actress from the Faroe Islands.
Well she and metal multi-instrumentalist Kathrine Shepard aka Sylvaine both brought their unique blends of sounds the The Academy in Dublin for the sixth night of the tour.
Sylvaine was playing solo which gave an even more haunting sound to her music than with the full band and this time around on Irish shore Eivør had her full band with her, last time she was here was supporting Heilung and she played in a similar fashion to Sylvaine. Incidentally she will be back in Dublin to support Heilung again when they paly Dublin 3Arena.
