Duke Special – live gallery & review from Cleere’s Bar & Theatre Kilkenny 24.05.2025

Peter Wilson aka Duke Special packed out Cleere’s Bar & Theater venue last night in Kilkenny with his mix of folk & baroque pop.
Duke accompanied by Chip Bailey know how to put on one fantastic nights entertainment, mixing jokes / anecdotes / and song, plus Chip’s comedic drumming skills utilising everything from cheese graters, egg whisks and squeaky toys and at times leaving the drums to play the Stumpf fiddle while Duke plays the piano and sings.

The show was a two part event with a mid interval as the guys opt to play without support and this means audiences are treated to a much larger set of songs then you would usually get from a main act.

The set-list contained songs like Art Of Living / Why Does Anybody Love / September Song (Kurt Weill cover) / Cherry Blossom Girl and many more
