Dublin’s Bold Love – Announce Debut EP & Share the single ‘Feel You Close’

Ahead of major festival slots at Latitudeand All Together Nowfast-rising Dublin six-piece BOLD LOVE announce details of their debut EP ‘Dancing & Loving’ which will be released on 3rd October, via their new label home Canvas Music. Taken from the incoming EP, new single ‘Feel You Close’ is out today.
A moving reflection on how we carry the people we’ve lost, the track deepens the band’s signature widescreen sound – emotionally resonant, richly layered, and increasingly distinct – cementing their status as one of Ireland’s most compelling new musical exports.
I wanted to describe that moment when someone shares bad news”,explains lead singer and songwriter Cian Ó’Maonlaí. “I have vivid memories of that feeling, the room losing its colour and becoming suffocating, the air thickening and before a word is spoken, the atmosphere in the room tells you something has happened”.

“I then wanted the song to comment on how we carry the people we’ve lost with us all the time. We hold on to them through our likeness. The little things that remind others of them. I love when someone sees my grandad in me – in a facial expression or the way I use my hands when I speak. Those are the moments I feel closest to him and this song is a celebration of that”.

Feel You Close’ follows on from recent singles including ‘Talking & Drifting’ and the Irish homage ‘I’m Home’ – each release helping to build momentum ahead of the band’s debut body of work and produced by Richie Kennedy (Interpol, Celeste, White Lies).

With 2025 already off to a flying start, BOLD LOVE have drawn praise from the likes of The Line of Best FitDIYSo Young and Rough Trade, and have cultivated a devoted following at home in Ireland. Though still with only a handful of singles under their belts, the band has already landed on key tastemaker lists including Hot Press‘ Hot for 2024, Whelan’s Ones to Watch, and RTÉ 2FM’s Rising for 2025.
