Dublin post funk band Scustin – have just released the single  ‘I’m Never Flying With Ryanair Again’

Dublin post-funk quartet SCUSTIN are delighted to reveal their new single ‘I’m Never Flying With Ryanair Again’, set for release on 21st May 2025.

Recently appearing at Dublin’s annual Trinity Ball alongside Confidence Man, the four piece are also proud to announce a coveted support slot with Dublin stars Inhaler alongside Gurriers and Blossoms later this month.

Festival appearances at SXSW London, A Stones Throw, Beyond The Pale, and Wilderness Festival have also been announced, with extensive album tour dates still TBA later this year.
Following the social media buzz around their tongue-in-cheek rage-baiting release ‘The Ick (Don’t Put Blackcurrant In That Pint of Guinness)’, the band continue to win high-profile fans across the arts, including Fontaines DC’s Grian Chatten, Gurriers’ Dan Hoff, Meditations For the Anxious Mind Podcast, UFC’s Meatball Molly, comedian Darren Conway, designer Hephee, and rapper Kojaque.

Already shaping up to turn just as many heads, new single ‘I’m Never Flying With Ryanair Again’ blends infectious pop-groove structures à la Blur and Wet Leg with a grunge-country guitar that wouldn’t feel out of place on a Nirvana record. The result? An alternative Irish pop anthem that hits hard and hooks fast.

Commenting on the track, the band say: “Lyrically, the song is a satirical deep-dive into the absurdity of blame culture. Channelling the tongue-in-cheek swagger of The Streets, Viagra Boys, and Kneecap, the story introduces a maddeningly self-unaware character who wreaks havoc through his airport routine. It’s a wry observation of a world where it’s easier to deflect responsibility than take it on the chin.”

The track is the latest to be taken from their debut album Confessions Of A Pub Talker which will be released on 19th September 2025, and follows on from early singles ‘Charmer’ and ‘The Ick (Don’t Put Blackcurrant In That Pint Of Guinness)’.
