Dinosaur Pile-Up have dropped their latest single, ‘Love’s The Worst‘, taken from their first new album in six years, ‘I’ve Felt Better‘, which will be released on 22 August via Mascot Records.
Love’s The Worst wrings arena-ready pop-punk triumph from the pain and anger of being cheated on in a previous relationship that had to die for his true love to flourish.
Talking about the song Matt Bigland shares, “Cards on the table. I wrote “Love’s The Worst” after getting broken up with (cool thing #1), on my birthday (cool thing #2), during lockdown (cool thing #3) and then realizing that the person who had just split up with me had actually gotten back with their ex for a week or two already whilst we were still together (cool thing #4). It’s fair to say that making that realization really sucked! Lyrically, ‘LTW’ is a pretty direct song, and I think it captures really well the frustration and hurt that comes with having your heart trodden on pretty good. But hey, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.”
