Demlot – kicked off the new year with the release of the track ”New Flex” Ft. Caitlin C, take a read of our review.

Demlot, the Dublin-based hip-hop duo made up of Scauldy and Sub-Rhyme, teams up with Caitlin C for their latest release, “New Flex.” The track is a bold declaration of confidence and swagger, layered over an upbeat, infectious backing beat reminiscent of early works by Drake, Future, 21 Savage or a slowed version of Juice WRLD track ‘Empty Out Your Pockets’. With their growing fanbase across Spotify, YouTube, and TikTok, this release is sure to make waves in the Irish hip-hop scene.

Caitlin C opens the track with a fiery verse, delivering sharp, self-assured lines like, “I cut you off like Ye did Swift if you keep testing me.” Her assertive delivery is underscored by witty lyrics that blend humor and confidence. Caitlin’s verse is a perfect balance of attitude and finesse, setting the tone for the track.

Demlot’s contributions carry the momentum forward, with a hook that’s both catchy and commanding: “I be on the new flex, new flex

When I pull up with the new treads,

Their verses showcase a relentless flow, brimming with lyrical confidence and clever wordplay. Lines like, “Too much talk, not enough of the walking,” and

“in our own league, fuck the team that you roll with

hold my drink,

whole room shut down,

hear ‘em quote my shit. “ emphasize their dominance within the music scene. The duo’s dynamic chemistry is evident throughout, each verse building on the other’s energy. The production is a polished, high-energy beat that’s sure to gain attention with fans of hip-hop. Its upbeat tempo provides the perfect backdrop for the verses, giving the track a vibe that’s both modern and rooted in the genre’s classic influences. The artist have show a lot of love and time to this project, putting in the hours to self promote it and help it make its way around social media platforms. They have also produced a pretty sharp looking music video to go along with the track.

While the track doesn’t stray too far from familiar hip-hop tropes, its execution is undeniably engaging with Caitlin C’s feature adding an extra layer of flair. “New Flex” is a confident, high-energy anthem that’s bound to keep fans coming back for more.
