Delilah Bon – has dropped the new protest track ‘Illegal Alien’

“Brat punk” pioneer DELILAH BON returns with fire and rage with the surprise drop of her new track. ‘ILLEGAL ALIENS‘ is a protest song in retaliation to the human-rights horrors happening across the Atlantic, on our streets and in our homes. She’s been sitting on this track for a year, silenced by the pressure to censor herself and the fear that speaking out could jeopardise her entry into the U.S. for her tour amid social media scrutiny. Now that the tour has been cancelled, there’s no reason to hold back. “People need protest music and now is the right moment to speak out.”

On the ignition that sparked the release, DELILAH BON shares:

Seeing the brutality towards immigrants – many of which have lived and worked in the US their whole lives – imprisoned in these inhumane camps breaks my heart. There’s thousands of kids alone in those camps, families are searching for their loved ones. I wrote this song a year ago today and after cancelling my US tour it felt like a moment to finally release it. This song is about activism and protest, pointing the finger at those that divide us and uniting together in our collective rage.”

With the song already censored and inaccessible to certain regions across the pond, with the audio also being muted on social media, downloads of the track are available. As well as ‘ILLEGAL ALIENS‘, a handful of select DELILAH BON songs from the back catalogue this month will have proceeds donated to MIRAC (Minnesota Immigrant Rights Action Committee), which is a grassroots charity of volunteers helping immigrant families with groceries and food banks, legal advice, support and protest organisation.

Last month DELILAH BON announced the cancellation of her US tour on social media. Ongoing tensions in the US with ICE dominating the streets and detaining and imprisoning immigrants and POC people, the US fans flagged how potentially unsafe it would be for a LGBTQ+ protest artist to travel, highlighting the issues of security for such a small touring party. “My crowds are very diverse in the US,” explains Bon“I have many POC fans that are in hiding, many trans fans who are afraid of being body searched by federal agents and it filled me with rage imagining my shows becoming a target. My fans were so supportive of my decision, I had many people reach out to me and offer support.”

Following the cancellation of the US tour, DELILAH BON is organising a charity event that’ll take place in Leeds in May 2026, with more details to be shared soon. The show will be dedicated to those US fans with the aim of raising money for immigrants impacted by ICE raids and family separation. The whole show will be filmed and recorded professionally with the possibility of an accompanying HD live stream for her overseas audience. “We will be screaming extra loud for them all and creating something historical which’ll be part of a new documentary I’m working on. The show will be announced in the next few days and will be my main headline show in the UK this year.”

Stay tuned for more details.
